Published MediaStar firmware and software files on this website are provided free of charge for supported MediaStar satellite receivers. We do not require users to purchase the software file itself in order to download it.
2. Check Receiver Compatibility
Firmware is model-specific. Always confirm the exact receiver model before installation. A similar product name does not guarantee that two receivers use compatible software.
Installing an incompatible or corrupted file may cause failed boot, loss of settings, reduced functionality or hardware problems. Users are responsible for selecting the correct file and following an appropriate installation procedure.
3. Free Redistribution of Original Software Files
Unless a particular file or included component carries a different license notice, you may re-share MediaStar software files from this public library free of charge, including with other receiver users, technicians, service centers and software archives, provided that the file is kept in its original form.
- Do not modify the binary and present it as the original MediaStar release.
- Do not add malware, adware, unwanted installers or misleading wrappers.
- Do not intentionally falsify the receiver model, version or release information.
- Do not claim that a modified file is an unchanged manufacturer release.
